What is my background?

One day I decided to hone my skills. I wanted to explore and expand on providing a service where I can help people.

I have a Communications degree from Simon Fraser University. My education has given me two excellent tools:

1.     The ability to write, and
2.     the ability to research

At work, I supervise a team that assists insurance brokers with technical support. I work closely with my team and support them where I can. They receive regular feedback and coaching.

My volunteer work is rigorous. I am a board member for two registered societies in British Columbia. I am the Past President and current board member for Burrard Toastmasters. Currently, I am the President of the Quay Healthworks Club. For both boards, I have created the vision and provided direction for the growth of each club. My goal is always to provide a value-add.

Because of my leadership roles and my education, I have developed a great sense of what the members of my team need. I use these skills that I’ve nurtured to help my team grow and learn.

What I can do for you

I needed to use my leadership and planning skills and apply myself toward a personal project. I toyed with the idea of writing resumes for clients and providing other services. But, what resonated with me was using and expanding my experience with LinkedIn.

I find that if you use the LinkedIn platform as a tool in your career arsenal, you will improve your career outlook. You will be more open to a network of over 500M users.

I started this business as a means to learn more about consulting. To be honest, LinkedIn has given me confidence in myself. I share my personal insights openly, and I no longer feel ashamed to connect or view someone else’s profile. It is all about connecting with others.
